Welcome home is more than an expression - it’s a feeling.

I think of it as an embrace of the familiar, safely tucked into our own space. It’s an invitation to get comfortable, rest a while, and just be. How we fill these spaces evokes this feeling, enhancing our identities and reminding us of what is important.

We deserve more. Because furniture, even in its most simple form, is an extension of what we value. Custom furniture is designed and made for you, not everyone else. It is bespoke, handmade by a human. It is generational, outlasting both of us. It is sustainable, using techniques, woods, and finishes that we can be proud of.

Thank you for being here. In this space you can learn about what I do, have a glance at some past projects, read up on the process of working with me, and get in touch when you’re ready. Whatever you do, kick up your feet and have a seat. You deserve it.

The Process

Custom woodworking and furniture Arizona

Start with this step-by-step guide for an accessible, clear process on working with me. More questions are answered in the FAQ section on the Contact page, or feel free to send any other questions my way.

  • Whether it is a stand alone piece, restoration work, or something else, it is best to have a bit of an idea of what you want, or what your needs are. For example: a new dining room table.

  • Get in touch to start the dialogue. This doesn’t cost you anything and there is no expectation that we will work together yet. Let’s first see if what you have in mind is possible and if I am the right person to do it.

  • Developed to identify key targets, organize our thoughts, and help us build an idea into something tangible.

  • Either in person - preferably in the space that the piece is going, or via some form of video chat. Let’s get to know each other, and dive into the project. Have a budget and a timeline at the ready if you can.

  • I will then put together a design and estimate for you. This may have design notes, measured drawings, rendered images (if applicable), the estimated budget, completion date, and terms & conditions. Up through this stage, all services/meetings/etc. are free of cost.

  • By paying a 50% deposit, work can begin. This deposit acknowledges agreement to the design, estimate, timeline, and terms and conditions. The amount is used to purchase the materials needed to complete the project and pay for the cost of operating the machinery used to process the materials. (For fitted interior projects, the deposit amount is subject to a reduction based on total estimated cost of the project).

  • Based on the timeline agreed upon, I will complete the work. If anything comes up during the build I will reach out. You will receive a password protected link to your Project Hub with all the information and documentation in one place. If questions, comments, or thoughts pop up for you please reach out.

  • When work is nearing completion we will establish the date and time of delivery. If shipping or installing, those costs will have been listed in the initial estimate and we will work together on a plan that works best for you. Before delivery, you will be invoiced for the remainder of the 50% cost.

  • Included in the purchase of a piece of furniture is aftercare. Some finishes I use need a little polish every few years and I am happy to either send you a kit or stop by to do it myself, no charge. Repairs sometimes have to happen too, and I hope that you reach out so we can fix it rather than toss it.
