For freestanding furniture, commissions are welcomed regardless of locale. Shipping costs and/or delivery plans will be discussed prior to making a deposit so you are not left with a surprise expense tacked on at the end. That said, I have a network of known makers throughout the states that I would be happy to promote and recommend if shipping is not something you are interested in.
For fitted furniture, because of installation and delivery, I only take commissions within a couple hundred mile radius which includes Sedona, the greater Phoenix area, and Prescott. If you fall outside those areas, let's still chat and I can either recommend another maker or we can discuss alternative options.

I do take commercial commissions and projects; however, my Arizona contractor license (AZ ROC #345620) does not allow me to take on fitted commercial commissions (think mounted to a wall). Projects ideas that fall within my scope include tables, chairs, freestanding bookcases and cabinetry, display cases, etc.

Throwaway culture, high VOC finishes, clear-cut imported wood species, and lack of planning have contributed to a certain perspective that wooden furniture may not be sustainable or good for the environment. By employing me you are ensuring that:
Your furniture will last, even with moving places. I would rather fix something that breaks than throw it out.
Only finishes that are low to no VOC are used - ones that I can use without a mask or spray suit.
Your wood is either sourced from locally felled, milled, and dried trees or from a reputable supplier that meets strict criteria on forest health, species, transport, import, and clarity in business practice.
You are supporting a local maker. Sustainability is not just an environmental cause, it is an economic, social, and ethical practice.
